Stacey Redman Wins Jefferson Award

The Tim Griffith Foundation is overjoyed to announce that our founder and president, Stacey Redman, has been selected to receive an Unsung Hero Jefferson Award. Her story has been airing on local television and radio stations, and you can read it online as well.

The Jefferson Awards selection committee’s guiding principles are: impact, inspiration, sustainability, innovation, and need. The awards are given to local individuals whose outstanding personal acts can include founding a non-profit organization, working to solve a community-wide problem, going beyond the call of duty as a volunteer or putting in many extra hours to improve a situation. They are looking for individuals whose actions benefit the lives of others in the local community.

Stacey Redman has done ALL of these things over the last 11 years since her beloved son, Tim was taken from her in a senseless act of violence.

We applaud her, we are inspired by her and we congratulate her on this much deserved recognition.
