TITLE: Assistant Volunteer Coordinator

FUNCTION: Assists in Coordinating individual volunteers of Foundation 

REPORTS TO: Volunteer Coordinator

SCHEDULE: 1-2 hours a week, (may be more prior to an event) works remotely

POSITION SUMMARY 

The Tim Griffith Foundation seeks a volunteer to help coordinate agency volunteers for the Foundation’s events and operations. Qualifications include excellent people and organization skills. This position is ideal for an individual looking for an independent volunteer position with flexible hours. The volunteer in this position will work remotely.   

SPECIFIC DUTIES

Help to maintain all volunteer information, including contact, skills, interest, volunteer history, available schedule, etc. 

Help to coordinate with Volunteer Steering Committee and Board to maintain volunteer opportunities list

Assist in providing Volunteer Recruitment and Engagement Coordinators with an up-to-date list of all volunteer opportunities

Assist in screening, orienting and placing all volunteers for agency

Help to send out welcome packets to all new volunteers

Help to maintain email list of potential and current volunteers

Assist in sending out volunteer requests to email list

Help to coordinate volunteer recognition

Assist in maintaining communication with potential volunteers (potentially through mini-volunteer eNews)

Support Volunteer Manager for Gala in recruiting, placing and training volunteers

Support Volunteer Manager for Gala in other ways as needed, for example food for volunteers.

Help to coordinate volunteer opportunities with Bridges volunteers (pickup and delivery, etc.)
