A Victory for Victor

At various times during the fiscal year 2014-2015, ten men were able to call Tim’s House “home.” Of the six that started off the year, five have moved on to new phases of a positive life in recovery, clean and sober. Upon exit they all had suitable employment and safe housing. Nine of the ten were referred to us by, and participated in, the Bridges Program. Bridges clients, especially the younger men, have priority entry into Tim’s house. This is Victor’s story shared with us by his case worker.

Our Community Walk for Peace

The Tim Griffith Foundation’s first Community Walk for Peace was held this spring and was a huge success.  Peace is at the very heart of the work of the Tim Griffith Foundation and was the driving force for our first Community Walk for Peace.  As the Foundation reflected on the ten years since an act of violence took Tim from us and the Foundation began its work of actively promoting peace, it seemed fitting to engage the community to walk together in our quest for peace.

Lots of Winners at Golf Tournament

There were plenty of winners during the the Foundation's 8th Annual Golf Tournament held on Sunday, May 31st at Los Lagos Golf Course in San Jose. Of course there was the winning foursome: Team Camilleri taking first place with an overall score of 58. Team Redman was tied for first, but ended up with second place based on the tie-breaking hole performance. Competition was fierce this year with seven out of the 13 foursome scoring 61 or under!
